Welcome to the PAES project and sterilisation programme

The PAES Project is launching soon

This a major project for the ACTIN Association and they are working in collaboration with a number of other Spanish and International organisations on this and working more closely with San Animal and Cruz Azul, who have already started building some great initiatives involved in this campaign.

One of the most important aspects of improving animal welfare in Spain (amongst many), is sterilisation. The PAES project aims to promote and educate people of the importance of sterilising companion animals. Initially this will be the main subject of the Project.

Many Spanish vets have already agreed to join the project, which is beginning to grow and gain momentum - but there is a lot of work to be done yet. With mass support, we believe this will be one of the most successful sterilisation programmes yet launched in Spain.  So we need your support. Starting now please sign up for a newsletter to keep informed of our upcoming events and campaigns, or contact us if you represent an association or business that would like to be involved. Donate to help us fund this campaign and the other major initiatives PAES has planned for the future. You could be part of these major changes in the actions to improve life for Spanish animals.

What is PAES?

PAES (Protección Animales España) has been developed by the ACTIN Association with the aim of integrating associations, protectoras, animalistas, government, authorities and professionals or companies interested in animal welfare so that, by working together, we can make a real difference in improving the welfare and treatment of animals in Spain. Our aim is to provide a Legal Group, Veterinarian Group and, eventually, our own Rescue Centre, to co-ordinate fostering with the various local rescue charities. This will enable us to monitor dogs and pass them as fit, before they are released to foster homes and, eventually, their forever homes.

As a platform for the launch of the PAES Project, there will be a National Animal Welfare Conference, which starts on Friday, 16th October 2015 and ends on Sunday, 18th October. It is to be held at the Costa Narejos Hotel, Los Alcarazes, Murcia, Spain. More information will soon be available if you are interested in being a delegate at the conference you can contact conf@proteccionanimales.es.
